How it Works
1. Login to our website to prepare a database, mainly:
- Create Authorized Trigger Mobile Number (Mobile numbers that are allowed to trigger), such as: 91234567
- Create Groups, such as: Staff
- Create Contacts (Copy & Paste) : 1,000 Mobile Numbers
2. Done, just SMS to Trigger Broadcast
To do SMS Emergency Broadcast, you, as the Authorized Number, just SMS to Fort Digital’s Mobile Number like 99665544 in this format:
Staff@@Due to HAZE conditions, tomorrow’s field meeting is cancelled
That’s all. Once the server receives your SMS, it will verify your Mobile Number first; if it matches in the database as the Authorized Number, it will broadcast to the Group of “Staff” with the message “Due to HAZE conditions, tomorrow’s field meeting is cancelled”.
The @@ symbol separates the Group Name and the Content of the Message.
Once the server receives your SMS, the server will notify you:
“Job accepted, we will now broadcast to group: Staff”
And once all are sent, the server will send an SMS to notify again:
“Broadcast Job Done to the group: Staff”
With this service, you cut down almost 80% time required to do Emergency Broadcast.
Fort Digital provides 2 mobile numbers for you to send SMS to. One is the main number, and another is the backup number if the Main Number is down. The number is not a shortcode; therefore, you can always SMS from overseas or anywhere in the world to trigger the emergency broadcast.

Beware of SMS Companies without SBO (Service Based Operators) Licensed by IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore) and Not Registered as Approved Aggregator by SGNIC (Singapore Network Information Centre). To operate and run SMS Services in Singapore, a company must have SBO License. Many SMS companies are operating without SBO Licenses, Local or International. Not only it’s illegal and against the law, but you are also jeopardizing your database security. Your Database will circulate the world and might end up on anybody’s server. Your messages will not be re-sent if they fail after the first attempt. No Data Encryptions. Non-Compliance to PDPA / PDPC (Personal Data Protection Act 2012). Midnight jobs, your SMS will not be prioritized and queued at Local Telco’s server; hence the message might reach the recipient in the wee hours. Fake Reports and inaccurate SMS Status will lead to confusion and disruption of the company’s operation.
